Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

JAXPOT (https://jaxpot.anirban.ca) is a free, hobby-run website for playing card games in your browser. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what happens to it. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run online games, we do not sell anything, and we do not run ads or third-party trackers.

2. What we collect

Playing locally.Single Player and Pass & Play games run entirely in your browser. If you are not signed in, nothing about those games is sent to our servers.

Guest play. Joining an online table as a guest creates an anonymous session with the display name you choose. No email or other contact details are collected. Guest identities and their match history become permanently inaccessible when the guest session ends.

Accounts. Creating an account stores your email address, a hashed password (we never see the plain text), and your chosen username. If you sign in through a social provider (such as Google or Discord), we receive your email address and basic profile information from that provider instead of a password.

Gameplay records. Finished online matches, and local matches you play while signed in, are recorded: who sat at the table (usernames or guest names), scores, placements, and when the game was played. These records power your personal stats, the match history on your profile, and the public leaderboard.

3. What is public

Your username is visible to other players at your table, in match histories of people you played with, and (for registered, non-guest players in all-human games) on the public leaderboard. Other players can also see your aggregate stats, such as games played and placement percentages, by hovering over your name. Your email address is never shown to anyone.

4. Where data lives

Account, profile, and match data are stored with Supabase, our database and authentication provider. The site itself is hosted on Vercel. If CAPTCHA protection is enabled, Cloudflare Turnstile is used to verify that sign-ins are human; Cloudflare may process technical signals from your browser for that sole purpose. These providers process data on our behalf and under their own privacy policies.

5. Cookies

We use cookies only to keep you signed in (authentication session tokens). There are no advertising, analytics, or cross-site tracking cookies.

6. Your choices

• You can play locally without any account or data collection.
• You can play online as a guest without giving an email.
• You can change your username at any time from your profile.
• You can request deletion of your account and its data by emailing hello@jaxpot.anirban.ca. Match records of finished games may keep your former username as a historical label, or be anonymized on request.

7. Children

The site is a general-audience card game and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

8. Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top will be updated. Material changes will be noted on the home page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
